JD Sports’ latest flagship is now open on Buchannan Street in Glasgow and this is another shining example of how the unrivalled global sports retailer continues to raise the bar with bigger and better stores. Spanning over 1,500 square meters the store delivers the platform for the complete JD Sports offering which is widely known to be the best of the best.
The customer experience lies at the heart of the store design & layout of the store, combining a carefully choreographed combination of architecture, lighting, signage and digital elements. One of the standout features is the double height shopfront & entrance atrium which delivers a strong statement of intent & communicates boldly the scale of the store and the strength of the JD Sports brand.
High powered Dingo Track Spots were used in the double height area to ensure the area and the merchandise is well illuminated. Throughout the main sales area the Gen E Casa Track Spot provides the primary light source providing premium light quality and impeccable colour rendering.
Feature lighting has been used to help define different zones within the store and includes the use of Tron Halo Rings and Bop Linear luminaires. Low profile LED lighting is also used to provide highlights to key touchpoints like the Cash Desk whilst the fitting rooms feature our precision-engineered Tron rectangles to ensure perfect lighting for customers when they are trying on merchandise. All these luminaires ensure that the vibrant hues and intricate details of the JD Sports product collection are showcased in the best possible light.
