In the year of our 30^th Anniversary and our 30^th year of working with River Island, we were privileged to design and supply the lighting for the new River Island Boutique concept store in Portsmouth.

This striking new 7500 sqft store was developed to embrace the existing architecture as much as possible, combined with the considered use of materials that are friendly to the environment. The core lighting design and decorative lighting form an integral part of the Boutique concept with a heavy emphasis on the use of high efficiency LED luminaires throughout to further minimise the environmental footprint.

The Boutique nature of the store allows River Island to be selective with their featured brands and make the store narrative more unique to the location.

The store has been designed to enhance the customer’s in-store shopping experience. We have introduced some new technology across our Fitting Rooms and Shop Floor to improve the customer journey and also deployed some great new tech to support our store colleagues in giving the very best customer experience. Our new store has over doubled in size and sees us bring our full kidswear offer to market for the first time. The Portsmouth store has created more than 30 new jobs within the town and we are thrilled to be able to finally welcome our loyal customers of Portsmouth back to our fantastic new store.”
